Defining Measures in a Mereological Space (an exploratory paper)

نویسندگان

چکیده

We explore the notion of a measure in mereological structure and we deal with difficulties arising. show that theory on connection spaces is closely related to class ortholattices present an approach akin Dempster’s Shafer’s. Finally, paper contains some suggestions for further research.

Defining spiritual care: an exploratory study.

An electronic search was conducted on Medline for the years 1980-2005 identified 101 journal articles with the words "spiritual care" in their title, the majority of which were from nursing journals. Content analysis performed on 28 articles judged to be most relevant yielded 250 unique descriptions of interventions, which were subsequently consolidated to form 66 discrete interventions. Twenty...

Mereological Essentialism and Mereological Inessentialism

Mereological essentialists argue that mereological summations cannot change their parts. Mereological inessentialists argue that mereological summations can change some or all of their parts. In this paper I articulate and defend a position called Moderate Mereological Inessentialism, according to which certain mereological summations can change some, but not all, of their parts. Persistent mer...

Equations defining a space curve

Let C ⊂ P be a smooth irreducible complete algebraic curve of degree d embedded in a projective 3-space over an algebraically closed field k. It is called n-regular if H(IC(n− 1)) = H(IC(n− 2)) = 0, where IC is the ideal sheaf of C. Among all this implies that the homogeneous ideal IC = ⊕ l H (IC(l)) ⊂ k[x0, x1, x2, x3] is generated in degree ≤ n ([7], Lecture 14) and C ⊂ P is (scheme-theoretic...

Defining a weak lensing experiment in space

This paper describes the definition of a typical next-generation space-based weak gravitational lensing experiment. We first adopt a set of top-level science requirements from the literature, based on the scale and depth of the galaxy sample, and the avoidance of systematic effects in the measurements which would bias the derived shear values. We then identify and categorize the contributing fa...
